Embattled Project Veritas CEO Hannah Giles levels wild, unsubstantiated attacks against popular Turning Point USA's Founder Charlie Kirk and the group’s Chief Creative Officer Benny Johnson, in a secretly recorded meeting recently obtained by Sage Ops. The former journalist, who gained national prominence in a 2009 prostitute-clad sting of ACORN, is heard telling board members of Project Veritas she wishes to avoid association with firebrand conservative commentators Kirk and Johnson. "And, so guys that are real high that have both mega-influencers and micro-influencers and everything in between cumulatively have a huge ripple effect on our stories. And that includes, you know, guys like Charlie Kirk and ahh Benny Johnson. And other people that you can more readily name. But that's something we need to resurrect and that’s been inhibited by the slander and the lies that have been put out by James." says since-resigned board member John Garvey on the secretly recorded audio.
Giles responds, "But to that point, we have had Peter Schweizer and Harmeet Dhillon and Mike Cernovich, who are much higher-quality personalities to back us, restore and that's who, too, A. J. Rice and Jason Mattera. And you know, Matthew and I’s network. Umm, you know, we’re trying to focus on people who have strong moral character. People like Benny Johnson and Charlie Kirk have cocaine and hooker problems."
